8-week session March 8th - May 3rd, 2017 (no class April 5th)

Join us for this 8-week class facilitated by local singer+songwriter Amber Darland. Both classically trained and self-taught, Amber has over 20 years of experience playing and teaching a variety of instruments and she is thrilled to be teaming up with the Bellingham Folk School to offer a beginning Ukulele Class. Ukulele is a perfect instrument for beginners and students of all ages. The small body makes it effortless to hold and its narrow neck allows for playing that is easy and comfortable. In a fun and friendly learning environment, you will discover the basics of the Ukulele, including proper playing position, how to read notes, basic chords and strumming patterns. We will start out playing simple songs then build our repertoire as we learn new chords.

No prior musical experience required. Class is limited to 10 students.
