Slug Jam!

  • Bellingham Folk School 1208 Cornwall Ave. (map)

Thursday, January 12th 6-8pm | $5 suggested donation

Want to play with other people, but regular sessions are too fast? Come join other emerging adult musicians in a session that is slow to moderate. Our goal is to be a welcoming space for beginning to intermediate folk musicians who want to play old-time, Irish, Scottish, New England, or other styles of tunes with others. Everyone should come prepared to share a tune, either by teaching it by ear or by bringing at least 5 copies of sheet music (including chords for rhythm and backup players). All instruments welcome.

Starter list of tunes: Swallowtail Jig, Red-Haired Boy, Ashokan Farewell, Out on the Ocean, Angeline the Baker, Soldier's Joy, Spootiskerry, Hector the Hero, The Water is Wide, Shove that Pig's Foot Deeper in the Fire, Autumn Child, Harvest Home, Klappvalsen
